Thanks Matt. I’ve not thought about it in that way.

I’m not sure I totally follow about what changes as we look at the self-actualisation level of needs. I’m thinking that regardless of which other needs have been met, if self-actualisation is a goal that one perceives to be not yet reached, then that’s still a deficiency. I guess my philosophy is that all needs and values are ultimately personal constructs based on past experiences and conditioning.
